Adaptability, stability and strength

WA380-6

  • Operating weight 17,600 kg (38,800 lb)
  • Net flywheel power (SAE) 191 hp (142 kW) @ 2,100 rpm
  • Bucket capacity (SAE) 3,3 m³ (4,1 yd³) @ 1,6 t/m³

Technology and performance

This machine incorporates the Komtrax monitoring system that sends your location, SMR and operation maps to a safe network through wireless technology. It also reports failure codes, precautions, maintenance items, fuel levels, and other indicators.

Features

Variable displacement piston pump and CLSS

The variable displacement piston pump with its Closed-center load Sensing System (CLSS) provides the hydraulic flow demanded by the application or effort performed, reducing hydraulic pressure waste to minimum. Reducing waste improves fuel saving because the engine just produces a specific level of rpm only to satisfy the requirements.

Kickdown switch

The kick down switch is a valuable feature to increase productivity. With just a switch, the operator can shift down when the excavation cycle begins, meaning less wasted time on shifting gears and, therefore, reduced cycle times. Then, the system shifts automatically from F1 to F2 when the traveling control lever is changed to reverse.

Ecology & Economy - Technology 3

Komatsu, following its Ecology and Economy policy, continues to develop engines with high performance low-emission technologies, complying with the most rigorous environmental standards, such as the new EU Stage 3A and EPA Tier III emission regulations (equivalent).

With this technology, Komatsu introduces its new Ecot3 engines with total electronic control system; fuel injection (Heavy-duty and high-pressure common rail); exhaust gas recirculation (EGR); air to air aftercooler and a new combustion chamber design; and NOx, PM and fuel consumption reducing systems.
