The arm and boom are strengthened, in-line high pressure filters provide extra protection to the hydraulic system, the fuel pre-filter has a water separator, and has ring seals. The electronic devices are highly reliable due to the fact that they were exclusively designed by Komatsu and passed strict tests.

The cab’s design reduces noise level; produces low vibrations due to the viscous damper mount; is highly pressurized with automatic air conditioning system; and the seat and console have an armrest that allows the operator to seat ergonomically. It also has a wide 7” LCD TFT multi-colored user-friendly monitor.

The machine has a powerful excavation force due to an optional specification: it has 2 cylinders for the arm, which increases the equipment’s performance by 19% (only available for 11’10” arm).
