Features

Palm Command Control System (PCCS)

The optional touch control system is a new development to improve operability when reversing on uphill slopes or uneven terrain. Forward and reverse selection is done via a rocker switch, and right and left steering control is also done via a rocker switch. This allows the operator to firmly support their body with their hand on this knob, located in front of the armrest of the travel console.

Automatic lock-up torque converter system

When activated, disconnects the torque converter, reducing fuel consumption and enhancing the efficiency of the power train.

ECMV-controlled transmission and brakes

The ECMV (electronically-controlled modulating valve) allows to connect the clutch smoothly. This reduces shocks while gearshifting and ensures more comfortable rides.

Ecology & Economy - Technology 3

Komatsu, following its Ecology and Economy policy, continues to develop engines with high performance low-emission technologies, complying with the most rigorous environmental standards, such as the new EPA Tier 2 emission regulations.

With this technology, Komatsu introduces its new ECOT-3 engines with total electronic control system; fuel injection (Heavy-duty and high-pressure common rail); exhaust gas recirculation (EGR); air to air aftercooler and a new combustion chamber design; and NOx, PM and fuel consumption reducing systems.
