Filters

Filters designed and tested to help extend component life for optimal machine performance and reliability. Komatsu manufactures a variety of engine, hydraulic, powertrain, fuel and cab filters. Our filters help protect major components of your machines by filtering out contaminants, dust, dirt, debris and water, if replaced at regular service intervals. Third-party filters with the same micron rating may not be made to Komatsu standards, and therefore could damage your machines’ components, lessening the life of your equipment. Komatsu genuine filters are made in accordance with the highest specifications, tolerances and industry standards to help extend the life of your components as well as your machines.

1 Air filter

Prevents dust from entering while providing clean air to the engine.

2 Engine oil filter

Removes dirt and moisture to enable oil to lubricate, clean, cool and seal moving engine parts.

3 Fuel filter

Removes dirt and moisture in the fuel before fuel enters the injection pump and injection nozzles.

4 Hydraulic filter

Removes metal contanimants caused by wear of sliding parts in hydraulic circuit of machine.

Features

Air filter

Outer main element:

Heavy duty radial seal gasket does not degrade under extreme temperatures, changes in restrictions or vibration. Raised ring holds the filter in place to prevent vibration. Metal outer liner provides a solid design to keep the element in good shape, even under the most extreme conditions. Optimised media spacing ensures uniform pleat spacing to prevent filter media from bunching during operation and promotes longer filter service life. Heavy duty end cap is designed to protect the filter media and provide structural integrity.

Inner safety element:

Provides additional protection if the outer main element is damaged. Air filters become more efficient over time.

Engine oil filter

Bypass stacked disks made from compressed fiber media that removes 3 times as much contaminants as full-flow media. Effective against organic contaminants such as sludge and soot. Full-flow, multi-layered media designed for finer filtration. Effective against inorganic contamination such as dust and engine wear particles. Conical shaped tube outlet allowing 3-4 times more total capacity than full-flow only type filters. Heavy internal spring provides excellent pressure to ensure internal gaskets are sealed properly.

Fuel filter

Two filtration stages, an outer element providing protection against coarse or large particles and an inner element for fine or smaller particles. Both elements made of 100% polymer media. Inner support center tube is non metallic which leaves no chance for corrosion or metal burs. Main filter is designed to endure high pressure and provides a high efficiency, particulate filtration. Pre-fuel filter removes water and bigger particles before entering the pump.

Hydraulic filter

Glass media is triple layered, providing a better filtration and higher efficiency. Easier and cleaner exchange process due to the smaller size and position of the return filter in the hydraulic tank. Rubber seals are added to the top and bottom plates of the filter for additional protection.
