Reliability, stability and strength

WA200-6

  • Operating weight 9,815 kg (21,650 lb)
  • Net flywheel power (SAE) 126 hp (94 kW) @ 2,000 rpm
  • Bucket capacity (SAE) 1,9 m³ (2,5 yd³) @ 1,6 t/m³

Productive and reliable

The WA200-6 is a highly reliable equipment due to the fact that most of its main components were designed and manufactured by Komatsu. It has a strong main frame and fully hydraulic maintenance-free oil-bath disc service and parking brakes.

Features

Hydrostatic Transmission (HST)

The HST system provides quick response during rides and aggressive drive into the pile. The variable flow hydraulic pump feeds the appropriate flow according to the requirements of the traction effort, providing power and efficiency. When high torque is required, this pump feeds 2 engines (low and high speed) for the aggressiveness needed during excavation operations. Also, when slowing down, the HST system acts as a dynamic brake for the drive system.

Variable traction control system

Consists in a pump that produces a variable flow of hydraulic oil, which provides the power needed to move the machine. This means it is not fixed, because it would be less efficient during low power efforts of the engine and it would produce more effort than needed. Also, the CLSS (Closed center load sensing system) allows to use remaining hydraulic fluids more efficiently.

The variable traction control system makes the equipment more efficient in terms of traction effort. Therefore, makes operations on soft terrain (where there could be slippage) easier, eliminates excessive penetration of the bucket, reduces tire’s slippage during stacking operations, improving efficiency and extending the tires’ service life.

Ecology & Economy - Technology 3

Komatsu, following its Ecology and Economy policy, continues to develop engines with high performance low-emission technologies, complying with the most rigorous environmental standards, such as the new EU Stage 3A and EPA Tier III emission regulations (equivalent).
