Komatsu Italy Manufacturing (KIM) visited Komatsu Latin America’s facilities in Chile in January to provide training on new technologies.
The activity was part of the introduction of tier4 utility equipment in Chile and soon in Colombia.
Komatsu Italy Manufacturing (KIM), the factory that supplies the range of utility products for the region, such as backhoe loaders, held a product training for the first time in Latin America with the objective of communicating and enhancing the visibility of the new generation of Komatsu backhoe loaders with tier4 final / Stage V technology, corresponding to the new WB93R-8E0 and WB97R-8E0 models and new technology available. The main features of the new Komatsu backhoe loaders were also presented.
Likewise, visits were made to customers in Chile, in order to get to know the customer’s voice in the field. The occasion was also an opportunity to learn more about other new products that will expand the range of skid steer loaders (SSL), such as the SK1026 with more engine power and CK35 (tracked skid steer loader), both models with V-stage engine.
«The main objective of KIM’s visit to Chile is to strengthen the ties with the Italian factory in order to promote the brand in the backhoe loader segment, whose focus is on the development of zero emission equipment to comply with the TierIV /StageV standard that came into force on October 21, 2023 in Chile. For this reason, our factory representatives trained our executives and new, rental and used equipment sales engineers to make them acquainted with this technology.»
