Capabilities, execution, and growth: the focus for FY26

Editorial

During FY2025, Komatsu Latin America delivered a solid performance, making a significant contribution to regional results and strengthening its role as a strategic platform for our brand’s future growth, leveraging our collaboration with our dealer network.

From a financial perspective, we closed the year with very positive business results, exceeding the sales target set for the period and achieving record figures. This performance was driven primarily by the mining business, aftermarket growth, and the execution of strategic projects in various markets.

However, FY2025 was also marked by a highly competitive environment that impacted our profitability projections and, in particular, our market share in the construction segment, which fell short of expectations. These challenges provide us with valuable lessons and reinforce the need to redouble our efforts moving forward.

In Occupational Health and Safety, we took significant steps toward consolidating a robust and structured preventive model, focusing on standardizing practices, managing critical risks, and strengthening capabilities within the dealer network. The results achieved in frequency indicators, especially in key operations of Komatsu Latin America, reflect consistent management aligned with world-class standards.

I would like to highlight and sincerely thank our dealer network for these results, and challenge us to continue raising the bar in 2026.

FY2025 was also a year of organizational transformation and capacity building. We began the period with a significant change in our dealer relationship model, developed jointly during 2024, evolving toward an approach focused more on results than on processes. In line with this new model, we adjusted our structure to strengthen service levels, defining clearer and more efficient points of contact.

Additionally, we created a new division dedicated to distributor development, which enabled us to implement, in its first year, an objective model to measure each distributor’s level of development and its correlation with historical market share results. This allowed us to identify concrete opportunities for improvement that we will begin to implement in 2026.

Looking ahead to the 2026 business plan, the challenge is clear: to capitalize on projected growth through disciplined execution, while simultaneously improving our market share in construction. We will face higher volumes, greater competition, and increasingly high expectations from our customers.

This will require a focus on efficiency, cost control, the development of internal capabilities, and even closer collaboration with our dealer network, always keeping the customer at the center of our decisions and maintaining a regional vision aligned with Komatsu Latin America’s strategic growth plan.

This also involves strengthening brand management and compliance with standards, integrating aspects of quality and compliance as part of business development.

Komatsu Connection was created precisely for this purpose:

to be a space that connects experiences, learning, and best practices across the region.

Because when we are connected, we create more value together.
