Major award in Peru

21 PC360-8M2 excavators enter the country

Komatsu has taken a major step in the region by winning the bid for 21 PC360-8M2 excavators for the Government of Puno through Komatsu Mitsui Maquinarias Peru. This significant milestone marks a before and after for the company in its participation in public processes, where it competed against the largest machinery manufacturers in the country, and is an important step forward regarding market share in order to position itself in terms of equipment sales in the region. 

How does the process work?

In this bidding process, compliance with certain specifications and relevant parameters were measured, such as: prestigious brand in the market, value of the proposal and support with maintenance. The PC360-8M2 excavators presented by KMMP achieved the highest scores in all required measurements. 

The achievement is even greater when considering the number of machines awarded, the short time the PC360-8M2 excavator has been on the market, having been introduced to the public last year, and the fact that it competed against similar machines from competitors. 

The work done by KMMP was critical to this success. The ability to understand how to present the virtues of the excavator to achieve the highest scores in the series of questions asked by the client was decisive and showed great mastery in handling this type of negotiation. 

The bidding process of the Puno Government consists of two stages. The first one has already been awarded to KMMP, and the next challenge is to win the second one, which seeks to supply the state entity with loaders.
