Successful equipment sale

Although Jamaica is a growing market with potential in several areas, including construction, it is achieving great results in the brief course of this year. The sales trend in this country has remained an average of 8 units per year. However, thanks to the efforts of the local Distributor, Stewart Auto Sales, and the support of Komatsu Latin America Operation, 5 units -2 PC200LC-8M0, 2 WA200-6 and one D65EX-16- have been successfully sold to the customer Black-Top Construction, company with over 30 years of experience in the local construction industry and in many projects on the island.

This business represents a milestone for the Distributor and Komatsu, as it increased the marketshare in only 2 months after the beginning of fiscal year 2018. This business started with the search for used equipment, however, the Customer was shown the virtues and benefits of the new equipment, and they finally decided to make the purchase. As Brian Blair, Stewart’s Sales Manager, explained «in the past, this Customer used to buy equipment from the competition, but we impressed them with our commercial and maintenance offer».

The equipment will be destined to operations related to Jamaica’s industry of aggregates.[:]
