Palm command control system (PCCS)
The new PCCS control system creates an operating environment completely controlled by the operator. A travel control joystick provides the operator with a comfortable posture and superb fine control without causing fatigue. Transmission shifting can be easily carried out with thumb push buttons. The other joystick for blade control uses a PPC valve (proportional pressure control) which, together with its highly reliable hydraulic system, allows for precise control.
Wide and comfortable cab
The new “SpaceCab” hexagonal design cab offers a large interior space that incorporates a new cab damper for comfortable ride, excellent visibility, a high capacity air conditioner, and a PCCS lever (Palm Command Control System) for steering and blade control. It also has cab pressurization, an adjustable armrest, an innovative seat with high backrest, a heated rear window, a radio pre-installation kit and a 12V connector.
Ecology & Economy - Technology 3
As part of its "Ecology and Economy" policy, Komatsu continues to develop engines with low emission technologies to deliver superior performance and comply with the strictest environmental regulations such as the new EU Level 3A emission standards (US EPA Tier III standards) equivalent.
Thus, Komatsu has launched its innovative range of Ecot3 engines which include total electronic control, fuel injection (heavy-duty high-pressure common rail), cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), air-to-air for air cooling and a new combustion chamber design, significantly reducing NOx, PM, noise and fuel consumption levels.
