Excellent performance

Ensures a smooth non-stall operation of the engine at low speeds and maximum productivity. An excellent blade control through multi-functional control valves with float and PCV (pilot check valve). Aggressive moldboard angles are possible with a long wheel base.

The GD675-5 motor grader has a Komatsu SAA6D107E- 1 with a 163 [kW] 218 [hp] net horsepower, is environmentally friendly and EPA Stage 3 and EU Stage 3A certified

An important reduction in fuel consumption can be achieved by controlling the engine’s speed. Reduced fuel consumption by 20%.

Features

Torque converter lock-up (automatic mode)

With the torque converter lock-up (automatic mode) or direct drive (manual mode), the operator selects the best transmission for the operation. If the machine needs more power for difficult grader operations or fine control at low speeds, the operator can select the automatic mode. With the torque converter the operator can achieve a massive traction force and control. More importantly, it can be achieved a precise control during low speed without gear shifting or using the brake/acceleration pedal. The automatic mode can be used on the 8 speeds. If higher traveling or snow removing speeds are needed, the operator can select manual mode. The operator can enjoy the best of both worlds.

Implement control valves

Specially designed and manufactured for Komatsu motor graders. The valves are directly activated, give an outstanding “feel” to the operator and has a predictable response system for a precise implement control. Lock valves are incorporated to hydraulic circuits to help maintain exact blade settings. Relief valves are also incorporated to specific circuits in order to protect cylinders from over pressurization.

Electric throttle control

The selector switch of the RPM allows the operator to adjust work conditions easily by selecting one of three modes: automatic, off and manual. The specified engine’s speed defined through the throttle switch is temporarily blocked when the brake/acceleration pedal is operated during automatic mode.

Excellent visibility

Excellent visibility by hexangular cab with front y shape pillar and rear layout side pillar (pending patent) boost operator’s confidence and productivity in all grader operations. Well-positioned blade linkage provides an unobstructed view of the moldboard and front tires. The tapered engine hood provides good visibility to the rear of the machine, especially the rear ripper.

Ecology & economy - Technology 3

Komatsu, following its Ecology and Economy policy, continues to develop engines with high performance low-emission technologies, complying with the most rigorous environmental standards, such as the new EU Stage 3A and EPA Tier III emission regulations.

With this technology, Komatsu introduces its new ECOT-3 engines with total electronic control system; fuel injection (Heavy-duty and high-pressure common rail); exhaust gas recirculation (EGR); air to air aftercooler and a new combustion chamber design; and NOx, PM and fuel consumption reducing systems.
