The cement company Argos, present in five countries of Latin America and in United States, purchased the first truck model HD465-7EO for its operations in Colombia. This business transaction consolidates Komatsu in the aggregates, cements and concretes business in this country.

This relationship had its start in 2016 when Argos bought four WA200-6 Komatsu loaders. Subsequently, new negotiations that started in March of this year concluded with the purchase of an off-highway rigid-frame truck for the limestone rock mine operations in Rio Claro, Antioquia, Colombia. In addition to the mentioned truck, Argos also purchased two WA200-6 loaders and one WA150-5 loader.

Mr. Alejandro Costa, Commercial Manager of Komatsu Colombia, explains that the role that Komatsu Colombia plays as distributor “has generated trust thanks to its constant concern for the needs of customers, its support to the existing fleet and assessment of new equipment requirements”.

After this business, Komatsu Colombia will focus its efforts on after-sale customer service by accurately following up each piece of equipment to assure the customer the highest possible after-sale service.
