Komatsu takes part in a Clean Production Agreement in Antofagasta

Komatsu entered into the Clean Production Agreement (APL) of the Industrial District of Antofagasta, an initiative coordinated with the Agency for Sustainability and Climate Change and involving eight other companies in the area.

The ceremony was attended by local leaders of the area, representatives of the companies and authorities, such as the intendant of the region, Marco Antonio Díaz, the director of the Municipal Corporation for Social Development, Aurora Williams, the Regional Ministerial Secretary (Seremi) of Environment, Visnja Music, and her Economy counterpart, Geraldo Jusakos.

This measure’s purpose is for companies to voluntarily adopt clean practices and technologies with high efficiency and effectiveness, establishing joint work between them and the community.
