Engaged with innovation, technology and sustainable growth of the mining activity and the economy of the country, Komatsu opened on last October 3 the biggest Manufacture Center in Latin America, in the district of Pudahuel, Santiago.
In this occasion we had the visit of the Minister of Mining, Aurora Williams; Japan’s Ambassador, Yoshi Hiraishi; Quilicura’s Mayor, Paulina Brito, as well as the leaders of the company, clients, collaborators and the press, who met the facilities and witnessed this new place, that will boost a more competitive and sustainable mining activity in Chile and the region.
With an investment of US$ 33 million, the new facilities have 16.000 m2 of smart infrastructure and high-level technology.
Komatsu Reman Center Chile bets for the development of the innovation, which will have a direct impact in the region, certifying the workrooms from the network of Latin American distributors, in order to ensure all quality standards are met, as well as giving the support to special projects.
Thanks to the opening ceremony of this plant, Chile is at the forefront in the application of technology at the service of the needs of the mining and construction industries.
